Sometimes I have problems with transliteration some new for me names or geographical names. How you work with it?

Hi,
when I have such problem I just google the words I am not sure of and see if I can find some articles oe texts about them. I read a few of them and that gives me more informations and I always end up finding what I want!

and I also use the google image search somtimes. if you see it, you can discribe it
